COSTA MEDITERRANEA
From the moment you step into the main foyer, the Costa Mediterranea will enchant you with its diversity and brightness. Here
you will find panoramic glass lifts, statues of dancers, and a tall glass roof that offers a view of the sky. The Costa Mediterranea
is pure Italian elegance, with fine details and numerous art works inspired by the noble Italian palazzos from the 16th and
17th centuries. The Argentieri restaurant is particularly spectacular with a balcony, and 139 works of art made out of silver.
For those who like sport, the ship has a large and incredible exercise area that covers three floors and has a sea view. There
is also a multi-purpose sports area on the highest deck.

Situated on the largest Danish island of Sjalland, Copenhagen is an extremely affluent city that offers a wide variety of
interesting sights. The largest square in the city, Town Hall Square, is the city’s focal point and an ideal starting point
from which to get to know this interesting metropolis. The square, which can hold up to 50,000 people, is also a stage where
festivals and concerts are held, as well as all the most important events in the city. The picturesque port district of Nyhavn
enchants with its small restaurants, bars, and relaxed atmosphere. It was precisely here that Hans Christian Anderson wrote
the vast majority of his world famous fairytales. Probably the most well-known of all is his fairly tale about the little
mermaid, whose sculpture is one of the protected symbols of this city and something that no one should fail to see.
Not only is it the oldest capital city in northern Europe, but Tallinn is also Estonia’s industrial, business, and cultural
centre and has a big port. This dynamic city is characterised by its narrow streets, numerous boutiques, and squares, and
combined with architecture influenced by Russia, the Middle Ages and the West, this slightly unusual city has an interesting
outline. The city’s charming centre is under UNESCO protection and is considered to have the most well preserved old town
in Europe.
The former capital city of Russia is a huge and imposing city with a more than visible dose of western influence in its culture
and art. Located in northern Russia on the banks of the river Neva, St. Petersburg is an impressive city and a masterpiece
of art and architecture. It is often called the “Venice of the North” due to the rich Tsarist palaces that are dotted beside
the many river canals. The beautiful promenades, wide avenues, churches, parks and fascinating museums only serve to reinforce
its unique charm.
Built under the influence of nearby St Petersburg, Helsinki’s architecture is reminiscent of a city in Eastern Europe. The
modern buildings and handful of cultural events distinguish this young metropolis, which is just 450 years old. The magnificent
Temppeliaukio church is the city’s most interesting feature, and is one of the most valued examples of modern architecture
in Helsinki.
The lively capital city of Sweden, Stockholm, is a true example of a Nordic metropolis that has been built in a continental
style and it has an extremely rich cultural legacy. This city grew from being a town in the Middle Ages into one of the largest
and most beautiful Scandinavian cities. The combination of the beautiful views offered by the pastel coloured historical buildings,
the many bridges that connect the 14 islands in the city, around 70 museums and 100 art galleries make it the cultural capital
of northern Europe.
