Elafiti are a group of 13 islands which stretch from the peninsula of
Peljesac and Dubrovnik. The name comes from an ancient Greek word elafos –
deer, therefore the deer islands. Other than reefs and smaller islands in this
group you will find the islands: Olipa, Tajan, Crkvine, Golec, Kosmec,
Jakljan, Misnjak, Sipan, Lopud, Ruda, Sv. Andrija, Kolocep, Daksa. Only Sipan,
Lopud and Kolocep are inhabitated.
Sipan is the largest island in the Elafiti. The distance from
Dubrovnik is 17km.
How to get there:
The elafiti islands of Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep are connected by
regular ferry lines with Dubrovnik.
