Kaprije [Northern Dalmatian islands]
The island of Kaprije is especially interesting to yachtsmen and sailing visitors because of its many bays and naturally formed ports. It is situated in the middle of Šibenik archipelago between the island of Kakan and Zmajan. The island was named after a Mediterranean plant whose buds are used as a spice – kapra. The island is full of beautiful beaches, it is a very peaceful and quiet place, sunny and relaxed scented by olive and pine trees. Kaprije is connected to Šibenik by a ferryboat driving on a daily basis.
