Veli Iz (island of Iz) [Island Iz]

Veli Iz, a place on the western part of the island of Iz near Zadar, is ideal for a quiet summer holiday. The islanders' traditional occupations are fishing and agriculture, a guarantee that you will be served home grown food while on the island. Daily boat lines with Zadar make Veli Iz an easily accessible destination for families with small children. There are several Romanesque buildings in this place of nice architecture, while valuable exhibits can be seen in the Homeland Museum (Zavicajni muzej). Since there are some ten islets and cliffs around Iz, passionate boaters will have numerous beaches and bays to explore, while Iz is a good starting point for trips to Kornati National Park.
