Mljet National Park

Full-day tour

Mljet, ‘an island lost in the open sea’ welcomes you with its beautiful untouched nature. The western part of the island is a National Park. Let the fragrances of the Mediterranean vegetation overwhelm you while going for a walk through the thick pine forest leading to the Small Lake and the Great Lake. The little isle of St. Mary in the Great Lake, which we'll visit by boat, with an ancient Benedictine monastery and a church dating from 12th century is because of its exceptional aesthetic image and strong cultural and spiritual dimension the symbol of the entire island. This secluded abbey on the islet was a dwelling place to a number of prominent Benedictine writers and scientists. Take time at leisure to stroll around or swim in the waters of the lakes - be happy to see sea urchins and beware of them as they are inevitable inhabitants of clear, clean waters.
