Montenegro Tour

Full-day tour

Discover the Bay of Kotor, one of the most spectacular sceneries on the Mediterranean, surrounded by high mountains with picturesque small towns along its shores. We'll drive to Kotor past Risan, once the seat of the Illyrian queen Teuta and picturesque Perast. Kotor, a town that has always provided a safe harbour to sailors, a town of rich cultural tradition and one of the best preserved sights in the Mediterranean area, included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List will welcome you. In your free time you can stroll down its many streets and squares and explore its Romanesque Cathedral of St Triphun, encircled by walls and fortresses.
We'll continue our drive along the steep slopes to Cetinje with a breathtaking view over the Bay of Kotor, followed by a short stop in the village of Njeguši. We arrive in Cetinje, once the seat of the Montenegrin rulers, with free time to spend, for instance visiting the local museum. Return to the coast with a panoramic view over Sveti Stefan, an exclusive island-hotel. We'll take you for an orientation tour of Budva, among the oldest urban settlements of the Adriatic coast time, so that at leisure you can explore this charming town. A legend recounts that Budva was founded by Cadmus the Phoenician, a hero exiled out of Thebes, Greece, finding shelter in this place for himself and his wife Harmonia. Two other civilisations also left innumerable traces: the Greek and the Roman. Upon the fall of the Roman Empire and its division into east and west, the defensive barrier which separated the two powers happened to run across this area, subsequently making a lasting impact on the history and culture of this town. We then drive back toward Dubrovnik with a ferry ride across the bay.
