ISLAND - HOPPING BICYKLOM - KVARNERSKÝ ZÁLIV

Opis

1st day

Boarding between 11:30 and 13:00 in the port of Rijeka, after which we will set out in the direction of Malinska on the Island of Krk. Here we will start our first bicycle route: from Malinska through the villages of St. Anton, Nenadici and Vrh to the town of Krk, the capital of the namesake island. Dinner is served on boat and we stay the night in the port of Krk. (approximately 22 km)

2nd day

After breakfast we continue our bike route through the Island of Krk. First we drive to Dobrinj, located in the island´s centre. Next stop is Vrbnik, an old town perched on a steep rock on the eastern coast of Krk. Well known golden-coloured Zlahtina wine originates from vineyards around Vrbnik. Before heading in the direction of Baska in the south of the island, we can have lunch in a pleasant tavern in Vrbnik. A steep 3 km long climb to the highest point of that day will be worth you while because of the magnificent view of Bascanska Draga, a fertile valley which stretches all the way to the sea in the south of the island. Dinner on boat and overnight stay in Baska port (cca. 43,5 km bicycle ride). Since spending the night in Baska depends on the weather conditions, we will head towards Punat and spend the night there in case these should be unfavourable (approximately 36 km).

3rd day

Our boat will take us to Lopar in the north of the island of Rab, where we will arrive after a short ride. We will drive across the whole island, from north to south, through the villages of Supetarska Draga, Kampor, Rab, Barbat and Pudarica to Misnjak. Our boat will be waiting for us in the town of Rab port, amidst the matchless scenery of the old town, with its four bell towers. Lunch can be had in local restaurants during our route or in the town of Rab. Dinner on boat and overnight stay in Rab port. (approximately 43,5 km)

4th day

It is only a half an hour boat ride to Luna, the northernmost point of the neighbouring island of Pag. The island itself enchants the visitors by its contrasts - in some places it is barren like the surface of the Moon, and elsewhere it is rich in meadows of aromatic herbs where numerous sheep, whose milk is used in making the famous Pag cheese, graze. Next we will sail to Novalja, the biggest town of the northern part of the island, where you can lunch in one of its restaurants and taverns. We will continue through the village of Kolane to Mandre, where our boat will be waiting for us. Dinner and overnight stay in Mandre. (approximately 35 km)

5th day

There is a somewhat longer journey ahead of us today: an approximately four hours sail from Mandra to Mali Losinj on the like-named island. On our way there we will anchor in a cove on the small island south of Losinj and have lunch. Upon arrival to Mali Losinj port, we will unload our bicycles again to meet the island´s unique lush nature and spacious pine forests. We will drive along the sea and around Cikat bay, past the Sunny Bay and to the picturesque marine town of Veli Losinj. You can have dinner in one of the many restaurants in Mali Losinj. Overnight stay in Mali Losinj. (approximately 21,5 km)

6th day

The "2 islands" day! After breakfast we will hop on our bicycles and ride from Mali Losinj through Nerezine to Osor, where the islands of Cres and Losinj are connected by a moving bridge. Through villages of Belej and Stivan we will arrive to Martinscica bay. We will then load our bicycles and the boat will take us to the town of Cres, the capital town of the island. We can have lunch during the tour of Cres, while dinner is on board of our boat. We will spend the night in the port of Cres (approximately 46 km).

7th day

Our final stage will take us from the town of Cres 14 km north to the village of Predoscice and back. Following our return to Cres, we will have lunch and load our bicycles on the boat. We will then depart from the port in Cres and on the way back to Rijeka take one last swimming break in one of the coves in the northern part of the island (approximately 28 km).

8th day

Departure after breakfast until 9 am.
