The island of Hvar is a well-known tourist destination thanks to its mild climate and lush subtropical vegetation.
It is also rich in cultural and historical monuments, while remains of the ancient times can still be seen in most settlements
on the island. This is best seen in towns like Stari Grad, Vrboska or Jelsa, with their churches and other buildings from
the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, or the remains of old fortifications from the 4th century (walls in Stari Grad). Time at
leisure.
