The Gerlitzen - Verditz ski region, reaching altitudes of up to 1909 meters, lies in the vicinity of the city of Villach, above lake Ossiachersee. Thanks to 26 km of well-kept ski trails, numerous ski schools and additional facilities, as well as activities for children, it is suitable for families. Furthermore, it has a beautiful snowboard park and a large parking lot. Having over 2000 sunshine hours per year and mild climate, it is a favorite summer destination. Guests have at their disposal hiking and cycling trails near Gerlitzen and Verden, as well as orientation trails. Due to favorable weather conditions, this is a favorite destination with paragliders.
