Kranjska Gora is situated between Austria and Italy, between Karavanke and Julian Alps. It is the center of Gornjesavska (Upper-Savic) valley and starting point for a number of ski resorts nearby (Kranjska Gora, Podkoren I and II). Ski resorts are family oriented so runs aren't difficult but suitable for beginners. Exception to these is a run that hosts World Cup every January.
Runs run down the hills of Vitranc on altitudes variing from 800 to 1250 m. After skiing, visitors of Kranjska Gora can have fun in one of the nearby clubs or casinos, according to their preference. Kranjska Gora has much to offer to its tourists and in summer monthsvisitors can enjoy fishing, golfing, mountaineering, riding or cycling through Alp scenery.
