Ankogel is completely situated within the Hohe Tauern National Park, near Molltaler Gletscher, and ski season is from December to April. At this ski resort the slopes stretch 30 km. The longest slope, Ankogel-Talabfahrt, is 7 km long.

Ski lifts from this ski resort depart from Mallnitza and reach an altitude of 2630m. A station exists at 2000m. Just like the other ski resorts in the region of the Hohe Tauern National Park, crowds on the ski lifts are practically non-existent.

This ski resort will be especially appealing to ski lovers of natural, unregulated slopes (ski touring) where skiers have the option of performing various acrobatic feats.

SKI SCHOOL MALLNITZ

The Mallnitz ski school is organised in collaboration with the local Austrian ski school.

Meeting place and time: Ankogel ski-lift starting point, Sundays at 9:30 am.

School hours: ski school is held during 5 days, Sunday to Thursday, all days from 10 am – 3 pm, including lunch break from 12 – 1pm.

Minimum and maximum attendance: minimum attendance requirement is 4 attendants per common level skill group. Maximum attendance is 12 attendants per group.

Minimum age requirement: 5 years of age and older

The closing competition will be held on the last day of school, after which the attendants will be issued with medals and diplomas. The price of ski school does not include the rental of ski equipment nor ski tickets.
